Guidelines For Admitting a Pet to the
Adoption Program
- Our main objective is to save animals from local Houston animal
shelters that would otherwise be euthanized. To fulfill that
objective, our primary foster homes are reserved for shelter dogs that
are in imminent danger.
- Definition of Foster home = A home that keeps the dog as a
member of the family and brings it to our mobile adoptions on Saturdays.
A home that teaches basic house manners, provides love, food, water, and
shelter until a permanent home can be found.
- We DO NOT accept owner surrender dogs - (that does not include dogs
that were originally adopted from us which are always accepted back)
- If you have found a stray and are unable to foster the dog or find a
foster home for the dog, we will be unable to help you.
- We are all volunteers and hold full time jobs that actually pay us a
salary. We are unable to come to your home, business, or shopping
center to catch a dog. That is what animal control is for. Please
call them.
- If you are willing to accept the responsibility of caring for a dog
you have found we will support you if possible by providing medical
treatment, crates, collars, and leashes.
See the attached Q & A on fostering.
- Please see our complete foster rules
and email or call us.
